Work on nine highways in Rio Grande do Sul requires attention from motorists

Changes in traffic due to the construction of roundabouts and other repairs

Motorists crossing Rio Grande do Sul should be aware of changes in traffic this week, due to construction on nine state roads. Empresa Gaúcha de Rodovias (EGR) is carrying out a range of activities, including roundabout construction, localized repairs, asphalt maintenance, signage, mowing, embankment cleaning and pothole filling.

The presence of workers and machines on the track can lead to lane blockages, resulting in slowdowns or blocking, especially during rush hours.

In the Metropolitan Region and on the coast, localized repair services are underway on ERS-239, from kilometer 20 to 25, in Campo Bom, as well as mowing and cleaning of embankments from kilometer 28 to 40 of ERS-239, between Sapiranga and Parobè. Similar works are taking place on ERS-040, from kilometer 11 to kilometer 40, in Viamão, and on ERS-474, from kilometer 0 to kilometer 32, between Santo Antônio da Patrulha and Rolante.

In Vale do Taquari the works are concentrated on the construction of three roundabouts: one at kilometer 83 of the ERS-129, in Muçum; another at kilometer 24 of RSC-453, in Cruzeiro do Sul; and a third at kilometer 29 of RSC-453, in Lajeado. Furthermore, there are repairs located at kilometer 89 of the ERS-129, in Muçum, asphalt maintenance on the ERS-129, from kilometer 121 to kilometer 124, in Guaporé, mowing and conservation services on the ERS-129, from kilometer 105 to kilometer 120, between Dois Lajeados and Guaporé, on the ERS-130, from kilometer 69 to 97, between Lajeado and Encantado, and on the RSC-453, from kilometer 70 to 38, between Boa Vista do Sul and Estrela.

Signaling services are being carried out from kilometer 37 to kilometer 41 of the RSC-453, in Estrela, and painting is also being carried out at the intersection at kilometer 29 of the RSC-453, in Lajeado.

Construction of two roundabouts is underway in Serra Gaúcha: one at kilometer 8 of the ERS-235, in Nova Petrópolis, and another at kilometer 45 of the ERS-235, in Canela. Bank cleaning and mowing services are carried out on the ERS-235, from kilometer 38 to 45, in Canela, and on the ERS-020, from kilometer 80 to 67, between São Francisco de Paula and Três Coroas.

In the North of the state, teams are focused on preserving and clearing the embankments of ERS-135, from kilometer 55 to 66, between Getúlio Vargas and Erechim, as well as maintaining the asphalt on ERS-135, from kilometer 8 to 11 , in Passo Fundo. Drivers will have to pay attention to the signs and adapt their routes based on the work in progress.
