26 years after Mary at any cost, this comedy with Zac Efron and John Cena promises to push the boundaries of bad taste

A radical change of register for Zac Efron. The actor, currently starring in the drama Iron Claw, in which he plays a wrestler, is expected to star in Ricky Stannick’s new Peter Farrell film (Marie At All Costs, Fous d’Irène). It stars John Cena, who continues to make his way into comedy with a colorful character.

John Cena is wilder than ever

The story tells the story of three best friends who, for 25 years, invented a man named Ricky Stanic, who survived even the smallest of their misfortunes. When the trio’s wives doubt his existence, the heroes hire a failed actor, “Rock Hard” Rod, to portray an imaginary friend.

Not surprisingly, things don’t go as planned. When Rod, who specializes in impersonating celebrities, takes his role too seriously, things get tense.

Alongside the two actors, we also meet Jermaine Fowler, Andrew Santino and Lex Scott Davis. The first images promise a film with completely absurd humor, true to its director’s style. The poster already announces the color with a warning: “This comedy is restricted to under 17s.”

Ricky Stanik’s premiere video is expected on March 7.
