Research Unit on TF1: The stars of Un si grand soleil and Demain nous belong to the cast of the following special episode.

In April 2021, TF1 announced the end of the research division after 14 years of good and dedicated service. The reason: reducing the priority target audience of female buyers under the age of fifty.

And if TF1 broadcasts the last episode of season 14 on March 11, 2021, it seems that it is not yet ready to say goodbye to the characters played by Xavier Deluc and Frank Semonin.

After the last episode of the program in the spring of 2022, in which many emblematic actors returned, TF1 offers this Thursday, February 1 at 9:10 pm, an exceptional double episode called “Mortelle Randonnée”.

It was on Reunion Island that the research team packed their bags for this new, unique episode. For this occasion, Xavier Deluc, Franck Semonin, Fabien Carat and Alice Thielroy are back for a new investigation full of twists.

Newly retired Bernier (Xavier Deluc) goes on a trip to this paradise island with his former colleagues. The program is idyllic, but as they arrive at an isolated refuge where they are to spend the night, a hiker from their group is found dead hanging from a tree in a macabre scene.

The team, who thought they could have an idyllic vacation, find themselves investigating a very special situation because they have no means of communication.

Is there a new episode in the works?

After this bonus at Reunion, TF1 is already preparing the continuation of the research section. On Monday, January 22, the front page announced the start of filming for a new opus called “The 12th Passenger”, which this time will take the actors to Martinique.

Written by Yann Le Gall and directed by Stéphane Capes, this episode sees Bernier, who has decided to train as a captain, take a group of tourists on a luxury cruise in the Caribbean for an idyllic week on a magnificent catamaran.

Well, that’s what they believe… because the next day the young woman disappears without a trace. Suicide, accident or murder? Hypotheses flow until the bloody knife is found.
