Rarely has a series lived up to its name so well. Translated into French by Chargés à block, the series Obliterated… has been destroyed by Netflix. The platform decided to cancel the action comedy at the end of its first season, despite the good start of the program (the most watched first issue of the series immediately after its release) and an average viewership rating of 3.4 out of 5 on AlloCiné. .
Created by the trio of Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Held (creators of Cobra Kai), the Charged à block series follows the story of an elite unit on the trail of a terrorist network, especially after a night of debauchery. Drunk in Las Vegas. .
The audience was considered insufficient
A mix of raunchy humor and action, the show could have continued for several seasons, although the first season was entirely designed as a self-contained story. If renewed, the series will have new missions in different cities, like the different films of the Die Hard saga.
Due to the lack of a sufficient audience compared to the large budget required for this type of program, the series was canceled by Netflix. But three of the show’s creators are set to return soon, with the final season of Cobra Kai set to air this year – and a spin-off series from The Karate Kids universe also seeing the light of day on the platform.
The first season of Chargés à Bloc, which could be reclassified as an eight-episode mini-series, is now available on Netflix.
