Tomorrow is ours: “I do this to protect you”… Samuel says goodbye to Victoire

Warning, this article contains a lot of spoilers for tomorrow’s episodes. If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read the following!

After a year’s absence, Samuel (Axel Keener) returned in absolute distress on January 11 in Tomorrow Belongs to Us.

Needless to say, the former St. Clair hospital doctor became addicted to painkillers again after injuring his leg while hiking in Patagonia. He also returned to Sete for rehabilitation.

A difficult return, also marked by the long-awaited reunion of Samuel and Victoire (Solène Hébert). However, all good things unfortunately come to an end and it’s time for Samuel to say goodbye to Tomorrow Belongs to Us and especially to the woman he loved so much.

Samuel says goodbye to Victoire

In A new extract is available on the TF1+ platformSamuel tells Victoire that he is leaving.

I am going to be treated near Paris. It’s time to take responsibility for my stupidity– he said before continuing:I’m doing this to protect you. You’ve suffered enough as it is“.

It seems that Samuel has decided to cure his addictions once and for all. Samuel initially chose to return to the region for treatment, telling himself that this choice was due to the fact that he knew a good practitioner and that he wanted to be close to his father. But really, Samuel just wanted to be with Victoria and see her again.

I polluted you, then endangered you with my attitudes, my addictions, my depression. I can’t take your pain anymore. I don’t want to hurt you anymore. I want to leave you alone. I want you to be as happy as you deserve“, he explains.

In other words, Samuel sacrifices himself for Victoire’s happiness. “I love you, but I’m not good at anything“. And added: “But I never knew how to do happiness very well“. Then Victoire agrees with him. According to him, it’s probably better that way.

Moved, he then takes advantage of this candid discussion to promise to take good care of her. After exchanging one last kiss, they said their goodbyes…

An emotional sequence that marks the end of the couple of Samuel and Victoire and offers these two characters, as well as the audience, a breakup worthy of the love story that they experienced tomorrow is ours.
