Monday February 5 Tomorrow belongs to us…
Gilles lies, at his own peril
Against the advice of the police and those close to him, Gilles raised some money to pay the ransom to rescue Cecile. He hides all the money in his bag. When Alex suggests that they spend the day together, Gilles states that he needs to rest, and then wants to go to the police station alone to apologize to the police officers for his behavior. Alex then suggests to his friend that they meet for lunch in Spon.
At the police station, Karim and Martin still have no word from Cecile’s second husband, Christian Ofri. But Karim discovered that his cell phone was restricted to Sète for the last time. Therefore, Martin suspects that he was Cecil’s accomplice in this kidnapping story. However, Karim called Christian’s sister on the phone and she said that she came to the set to warn Gilles about Cecile.
During this time in the hospital, Chloe has the opportunity to talk and get to know the woman who is at her comatose husband’s bedside every day. Chloe learns that he is a physics and chemistry teacher at Brassens High School. She feels guilty because her last conversation with her husband was an argument.
Mariana interrupts the two women. He worries about Gilles, whom he has never heard of. Chloe thinks she’s just obsessed with Alex. Marianne hopes that Gilles will not react too badly when he learns that Cecile has arranged her own kidnapping.
At the spoon, Alex and Bruno bring their distractions. Alex takes the opportunity to contact Gilles, to no avail. He begins to worry and wonders if his friend is tricking him into paying the ransom. Alex immediately goes to the police station to warn Karim. Roxanne confirms that Gilles withdrew €50,000 from her savings account on Friday evening before the bank closed. If her phone goes to Chloe and Alex again, the latter says that Gilles is not there. Karim suggests that he left his cell phone there to cover his tracks.
Indeed, Gilles goes to the meeting place alone. He communicates with the kidnapper through a specially designed telephone. He is ordered to leave the bag with the money and leave. But Gilles refuses to leave the place without seeing Cécile. He admits that he has only collected half of the ransom, but promises to pay the other half once he sees his fiancée. The kidnapper stops communicating with him.
Meanwhile, Karim visits Alex and Chloe. He finds Gilles’ cell phone, then searches for clues to the kidnappers. He came across the blurry photos of Cécile that Gilles had hidden in the book. On the back of one of them are written the terms of the meeting: at 17:00 at a warehouse on the outskirts of Kogidep. Karim rushes there with Martin.
They arrive there at nightfall and find Gilles on the ground, unconscious…
Aaron and Lisa returned to the set
After a trip to northern Europe, Aaron and Lisa finally return to Seth, where Amelie and Victoire give them a warm welcome.
After settling in, Lisa takes the time to talk to Victoria to find out what happened in her absence. Victoire essentially talks her through her story with Samuel, making sure she definitely turned the page.
A little later, Victoire and Lisa meet Samuel. While Victoire goes to get groceries, Lisa stops by Samuel to see if he’s on the same wavelength as Victoire. Samuel confirms that he has no plans to get back together with her, even after rehab.
In the evening, Samuel meets Renault and Williams at the spoon to tell them that he has canceled his rehab in Montpellier because he has found another one in the Paris region. Even if there is no hope of relatives there, it is better to stay away from Victoire. Reno and William support her in her decision.
The clash between Nordin and Gabriel continues
At the police station, Nordin receives a complaint about a disturbance in Gabriel’s building. Nordin is convinced that Gabriel has done it again. Manon, who reveals that it’s one of her sister’s exes, is very surprised because it doesn’t look like her. Nordin tells her that he fined her because she was playing classical music loudly at home and the neighbor complained. He adds that Gabriel taunted him when he found him on the side of the road with a flat tire.
But when he gets to Gabriel’s house, Nordin is forced to notice that the noise isn’t coming from him. His neighbor plays music very loudly. Nordin is going to come over and have a verbal conversation. But Gabriel holds her back to force her to apologize and admit that she was wrong about him. Indeed, Gabriel repeats that he turned up the music too loud at home just to settle a score with his neighbor because the police did not respond to his complaints.
Nordin then meets Manon for lunch at Spon. He admits that he was right and that he was very wrong about Gabriel. But when he asks about the procedure for canceling the penalty, he realizes that he has to send the file up the hierarchy. Nordin worries that it won’t make a good impression before his annual review.
So Nordin asks his father to cancel the fine for him. But Martin refuses to give him a pass just because he’s his son. Instead, he suggests that Nordin settle things with Gabriel by paying him out of his own pocket.
In the evening, Gabriel finds a cash envelope of 68 euros in front of his house, without a note. Soraya thinks it is her neighbor. But Gabriel correctly guessed that the envelope came from Nordin. He finds it shameful how he decided to solve their problem instead of canceling the fine.
