Ana Paula Rodrigues de Menezes, 41, is among 20,000 street vendors accredited by the city hall to work at the Sao Paulo carnival. The seller took to the streets with a certain fate for the amount she intends to earn from the sales: divorce.
The goal is to raise 780 reais to realize the dream postponed for two years. She is counting on the help of her daughter who is also in the vicinity of the Bloco Maluco Beleza, in Ibirapuera Park, this Saturday afternoon (3).
Ana Paula used a sign in her tent that read “Help me get a divorce” in the hope that women will become aware of their situation and help them achieve their goal.
“I invested in signage and women came to help me clear the mess. It’s a scam,” says the street vendor struggling to sign the long-awaited separation.
This is the seventh year that Ana Paula has taken to the streets during the celebrations. “She In other years she worked just to earn some money, but she didn’t want to sign [o divórcio] I will have to pay the registry fees”, he concludes.
