Even with a draw, the Italian team continues to lead Carioca
Boavista and Fluminense drew 2-2 this Sunday (4), in Bacaxá, for the Campeonato Carioca. Lelê opened the scoring for the Italian flag, but Saquarema’s team overturned the result with a brace from Matheus Lucas in the first half. In the second phase, João Neto equalized the score, ensuring the Tricolore’s unbeaten record in 2024. Despite not winning, the team continues to lead Carioca, with 14 points.
Playing an alternate team, Flu’s offside line didn’t work and some players played below expectations. See Fluminense highlights and notes.
Positive highlights:
Isaac- On the left wing he created good opportunities for danger with individuality, dribbling and good passing.
João Neto – Entering the second half, he scored a goal in the final stretch of the match, which ensured the draw for the Italian flag.
Negative points:
Justen – Despite the good assist for Lelê’s goal, the right back gave up space and was unable to prevent Boavista’s goal, coming from the right side of the Italian defense. He was replaced in the final phase.
Daniel – He failed to find his balance in the match, with poor passing and loss of ball possession. However, he remained on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes, as well as injury time.
