Pair of metropolitan civil guards found shot dead inside their home in SP

The case is being investigated by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) and the GCM Internal Affairs

A pair of metropolitan civil guards of Sao Paulo was found shot dead in the house where he lived, in Mandaqui, in the north of the capital, on the morning of this Monday 5th. The names of the victims were not disclosed.

The couple did not go to work and did not answer phone calls from colleagues, which sparked concern. According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), a team from the Metropolitan Civil Guard went to the couple’s home, on Doutor Gabriel Nicolau street, around 9am this Monday. Once they arrived at the facility, the guards rang the doorbell, but no one answered. They then entered the house and found the victims dead.

According to a statement from the SSP, the case has been registered by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP), which will investigate the incident.

In a statement, São Paulo’s municipal communications department lamented the deaths and said the Metropolitan Civil Guard (GCM) was also investigating the case.
