In total, the PF executed four preventive arrest warrants, 48 precautionary measures and 33 search and seizure warrants.
The targets are accused of participating in “a criminal organization that acted in an attempted coup d’état and abolition of the democratic rule of law, to obtain a political advantage by keeping the then President of the Republic in power”.
Reuters attempted to contact the targets of the operation or their defense but did not immediately receive a response.
“The first axis consisted in the construction and propagation of the version of fraud in the 2022 elections, through the fallacious spread of vulnerabilities in the electronic voting system, a point reiterated by the suspects starting from 2019 and which persisted even after the results of the second electoral round of 2022”, informs the PF note.
“The second axis of action consisted of the implementation of acts aimed at subsidizing the abolition of the democratic rule of law, through a coup d’état, with the support of military personnel with the knowledge and tactics of special forces in a politically sensitive,” He continued.
According to the police, the Army controls the execution of some warrants.
