The life of Spanish singer Julio Iglesias will be told in a series produced by Netflix. The information comes from Varietyand the artist himself released a statement to confirm that the biopic series will, in fact, take place.

“After much speculation, books and documentaries in which I was not involved, for the first time I decided to tell the truth about my life to a universal company like Netflix,” Iglesias said in a statement.

Iglesias implied in the statement that he was initially skeptical about turning his life into a series, but that Netflix seemed like the right company to entrust his story to.

“After much thought, finally, Bela Bajaria (Netflix director of content) sent me a very touching letter and it was enough to convince me that Netflix was the ideal company to develop this project. I am grateful to many people from different countries who supported me and gave a boost to my life,” added the singer.

More information about the series has not yet been revealed, such as, for example, the cast that will be chosen or the expected release date of the production.
