After the resounding success of “Oppenheimer”, star Cillian Murphy has already defined what his next project will be.
According to the website expirationthe actor will star in and produce a film titled “Steve,” for Netflix.
The production will be an adaptation of the book “Shy”, by Max Porter. The plot revolves around the story of a reformatory director. The idea is to show 24 hours of his routine, from struggling to keep students in line to dealing with his own mental and emotional crises.
Tim Mielants (Will) will direct, based on a screenplay written by Porter himself, the author of the original.
The film will be Murphy’s second project with his production company Big Things Films, founded in collaboration with the actor’s longtime collaborator Alan Moloney.
“Steve” does not yet have a release date on Netflix. Registrations are expected to begin between March and May this year. More cast names are expected to be announced soon.
