“There’s a little truce between the two monsters. Godzilla controls the surface world and Kong is in the hollow Earth. It’s not like Godzilla is saying, ‘Call me when something goes wrong, Kong.’ And I’m coming to help you!” But when a new villain, the Scar King, threatens, it takes an alliance that brings the duo of misfits together on an epic scale.”The director explains.

Are Godzilla and Kong too old for this shit?

“To best describe the relationship between Godzilla and Kong, I’d say it’s a dysfunctional, buddy cop kind of thing. In that sense, Lethal weapon One of my favorites in the genre. My influences have always been the 80s, and I prefer that aspect when writing the screenplay.
