Leah Remini is adjusting to her unexpected new role as a judge on Fox So you think you can dance. The king of queens the actress replaced Matthew Morrison for season 17 after being fired non-compliance with “competitors’ production protocols” after auditions in which he, JoJo Siwa and Stephen Boss (aka tWitch) chose the top 12 dancers to advance in the competition. Some viewers found it odd that Emmy-winning Remini responded to her call to take third place behind the judges’ table, due to her lack of experience primarily in dance. However, this doesn’t bother her fellow judges, who seem to appreciate the way she fits into the group regardless of her.
At the beginning of tWitch So you think you can dance as a Season 4 contestant, and JoJo Siwa has been dancing on TV since she was 10 Abby Lee’s last dance competition (and then dance moms), Leah Remini’s career is much less specific to dance. However, she has decades of entertainment experience on both sides of the camera, she told tWitch people like what it brings to the jury:
I love it because we really have a full panel of artists. Even if his training is not in dance, he knows how to talk about moving performances.
In its first two episodes, Remini showed it he is not afraid to disagree with arguably more skilled dancers to their right, sometimes praising the performance aspect of a number, though tWitch or JoJo Siwa criticized that competitor’s technical execution. I would like all situations in life that involve conflicting opinions to include that positivity as well.
Just as tWitch said she appreciates the different perspectives the trio brings to the table, Siwa also doesn’t seem to care when Leah Remini has a different opinion. For her, the new judge of season 17 helps bring humor. As the YouTube star said:
She is a hoot. She is a riot. I love it. She brings the comedy, she keeps it fun, she keeps it light. She has a lot of education in the arts, entertainment and Hollywood, so she brings that knowledge to the jury, which is really good.
JoJo Siwa is known for her out of the ordinary personality and tWitch’s smile could light up the darkest caves, so it’s hard to imagine this group needing anyone. Moreover to lighten the atmosphere. However, the two also take their craft very seriously and some of their more candid comments to competitors have drawn boos from the audience.
Additionally, having a judge who focuses on aspects other than technical skill is important for a program that has cemented the distinction crown “America Favorite Dancer” like you do, instead of better Dancer. But that hasn’t stopped some fans from talking about it yet social networks about her disappointment at not having a third dance professional in the mix.
Of course, JoJo Siwa also responded to the criticism. who questioned her experience even though she danced all her life. Yes tWitch also addressed disappointed fans who complained about some of the choices the judges made when they decided which contestants go ahead in the show. So at least Léa Remini is in good company for not being able to please everyone!
So you think you can dance they entered their Top 10 and, after the episode on June 22, the girls danced to their favorite genres. SYTYCD back to Fox at 9pm ET on Wednesday, June 29, as the dancers take us to “Around the World”. Be sure to check ours TV program 2022 to see what shows are coming soon.
