It seems that some users are slowly adding a new feature to YouTube TV. Since last year, some have noticed the presence of a shortcut button that allows you to quickly switch between the most recently watched channels. The information comes from 9to5Google.
It’s worth noting, though, that this is a feature that hasn’t appeared for all users and not on all devices. Last week, Roku users benefited from the news.
On other devices, such as Apple TV and Google TV, the feature appeared in December. However, users noticed that the shortcut button for recent channels had disappeared in January, meaning this was only a temporary test.
On Reddit, several YouTube TV subscribers began sharing that after the latest update to the app on Roku, the option to switch to the latest channels became available.
To activate the function the command seems to be very simple. Pressing and holding the “Ok” button for a few seconds will switch to the most recently watched channel. Holding down the button returns you to the channel you were previously on.
