The feature film, directed by Frank Dubosky, Reem Harris and Philippe Lachaux, follows the adventures of Diva, a social media star cat, and Chichi, a street dog. They remain on their own after losing their owners. To create the film’s star animal, the filmmaker was inspired by his cat diva, Maine Coon, who had already appeared in his first feature film, Paris at Any Price.

In terms of casting, the film stars Reem Khreich, Frank Dubosky as Jack, the jewel thief, and Philip Lachaux as Brandt, the police officer. This is the seventh feature film with Reem Kherici and Philippe Lacheau.

Friends for more than 20 years, the two actors and director of La Bande à Fifi appear in their respective films. During our meeting with Reem Kherichi to promote his film, the latter revisited this friendship.

“Philip and I have known each other for 20 years. We know each other very well and I can’t imagine a film without him in the casting. I can’t imagine a film without him reading the script. We have a very strong working relationship and there is also a lot of trust and admiration.

So I need his approval, it comforts me, and his kindness and his demands are also key to being able to move forward. ” Therefore, it was quite natural that Kherich offered the role of Brandt to his accomplice. This is Ines Reggie, who voices Cat Diva. This is the comedian and actor’s first voiceover. Rem Khreich offered her the role after meeting her during the taping of the premier video show LOL: Who’s Laughing, Get Out!

The director announced in the press kit:I lived with a diva for 10 years. I knew her perfectly… To me she was not a duchess among aristocrats. Diva is a child, stupid and clumsy.

During the filming of the show LOL: Those who laugh, get out! I met Ines Reg and fell in love immediately. I didn’t know him well, I just saw his famous video “When are you going to shine in my life Kevin?”. In front of me was an ULTRA cute, cute girl with a beautiful, youthful voice. So I asked her to audition for the diva role, she accepted and she was exceptional! It was a diva, no doubt…”

In the film, the royal diva is to be reunited with a street puppy named Chichi. Rem Kherich then turned to Artus, whom he had met on the set of Chiron’s film, Brutus vs. Caesar.

“For Chichi, who is still a puppy, we needed a childish voice. But with the casting of young actors, I couldn’t find the vox comic I needed… so I turned to comedians to remember Artus, who I shot with. The movie Brutus vs. Caesar and his childish side.. .

It has the feel of a valve, sniper, sniper and chichi are the same. So Artus also did some brilliant tests and I hired him. I’m very happy with the choice of these two voices, especially since it’s a very difficult exercise to play a character without physically embodying it. Ines, like Artus, was able to give Diva and Chichi their true identity.” explains Rim Kherich.
