So doctors tried to revive him. However, his efforts were in vain and he died at 8:49 am.

The director of Coritiba has worked in several clubs

José Domingos Chávare Júnior was born in Americana (SP), on 12/20/1966. He has played for 10 Brazilian clubs since March 2003, when he made his debut as a professional football coach and base at Inter de Limeira. Since then he has played for Ponte Preta, San Paolo, Grêmio, Tubarão, Atlético-MG, Bahia, Juventude, Ferroviária and, finally, Coritiba. Chávare also worked at Juventus, Italy, between October 2009 and December 2011.

Chávare’s time at Atlético was extraordinary. After all, he managed Base do Galo when the club won the unprecedented title of Brazilian Under-20 champion. Atlético thus sent a message of solidarity to the former coach’s family, remembering this feat that entered the club’s history. Chávare remained in Galo between May 2019 and February 2021.

Coritiba will play this Sunday (18/2) the tenth round of the Paranaense Championship, against Atletico-PR, at 6.30pm, at the Couto Pereira.
