Marinho had already done something similar in 2021, before the Copa Libertadores decision, to avoid controversy

Fortaleza striker Marinho is off social media. At least momentarily. The player recently stated that he will be out for a while to concentrate more.

“Ge” was the first to inform. Marinho deactivated social media last Thursday (15th), before the match against Ceará, Saturday (17th), for the Cearense Championship.

Marinho’s idea is to focus on family and work. And, as he interprets it, social media takes him off the path he wants to follow. In fact, this is not the first time the player has this option. In 2021, before the Libertadores decision between Santos and Palmeiras, the player also closed his account. At the time the goal was to avoid controversy.

Marinho continues to fight for the title. After all, he was not used by coach Juan Pablo Vojvoida in the king’s classic, which ended 3-3, last Saturday. The attacker, in fact, has not yet scored this season. He has been used six times, only twice in the top 11.
