One of Batman’s best villains is getting a live-action series.
Pinguim finished filming this Saturday (17th). The news was given in an informal – and unusual – way by set designer Kalina Ivanov, in a post on social media.
In the publication, he shared a photo of a dog wearing a Catwoman mask and announced that it was the last day of registration:
Recalling that the production schedule was delayed by strikes by Hollywood writers and actors last year.
Filming began in March, but was stopped shortly thereafter and only resumed in December.
The new series is expected to premiere between June and August of this year, according to HBO CEO and president Casey Bloys.
The information comes from Omelette.

Cast information
In addition to Colin Farrell, the cast of Penguin includes Michael Kelly (House of Cards, Jack Ryan), Rhenzy Feliz (Marvel’s Runaways), Shohreh Aghdashloo (House of Sand and Mist), Michael Zegen (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), James Madio (Band of Brothers), Scott Cohen (Gilmore Girls) and Deidre O’Connell (Daredevil).
The spin-off will also feature actress Cristin Milioti (How I Met Your Mother) in the role of Sofia Falcone, daughter of Carmine Falcone, the former mob boss of Gotham City. Sofia should have an important role in the plot.
Craig Zobel (Mare of Easttown) directs the series, with Lauren LeFranc (Agents of SHIELD) as showrunner.
The expectation is that the series will have 8 episodes and will be released exclusively in the Max catalog (formerly HBO Max).
