‘I’ve been waiting for this for three years’: The return of this popular series has fans excited for a very specific reason

AlRawabi School for Girls, a Jordanian series, has made a strong comeback on Netflix. The platform released the much-awaited Season 2 online a few days ago. The fans responded and it took first place in the top ten.

The success is not surprising when you look at the rather glowing reviews of Alrawab Girls School. Set in an all-girls high school, the series follows victims of bullying who join forces to get revenge on their tormentors. Some Netflix subscribers have been waiting three years for this moment, but when they started watching the first episode of the second season, they discovered a completely different cast…

New faces for a story as powerful as ever

Goodbye Rania, Layan, Miriam… Season 2 of Alrawab Girls’ School takes place at the same high school but features new characters, starting with Sara (Tara Aboud), a young high school student with dreams of fame. When one of his videos goes viral, he joins the big leagues… for better or worse.

A choice that is not to the taste of some who expressed their displeasure on social networks:

“Big disappointment with the expectations of the season. Why did they change the cast? More than 6 episodes and especially in the first one, we expect to know and understand what happened at the end of season 1. And the whole rest of the season is based on another story that still bothers me. I’ve been waiting for this for 3 years. I do not and do not recommend watching this series anymore.” (Malika Marie)

Although not a direct sequel, Season 2 of the Jordan series still pays homage to one of the strong characters from Episode 4. And these six new parts promise to be as painful and sad as the previous ones.

From the miniseries to the second season

AlRawabi School for Girls was originally intended as a mini-series before Netflix gave it a second season, which included the changes we see today. If successful again, each season could focus on a new group of students and tackle powerful themes such as bullying, self-discovery, and youth suicide. A choice that could damage fan loyalty…

AlRawabi School for Girls is available on Netflix.
