Mickey 17, the new film from the director of Parasite, is postponed until 2025

Initially scheduled to debut in March this year, Mickey 17new film by Bong Joon-hodirector of the Oscar-winning Parasite (2019), was postponed to 2025. Now, the new feature, which stars Robert Pattinson (Batman), debut on January 31 next year in North American cinemas. The information is from Variety.

The film is based on Mickey7book of Edward Ashton, and takes place in a future in which space colonization missions choose a crew member to be “disposable” and carry out dangerous missions on behalf of everyone. When the chosen one dies in action, he is cloned and his copy takes on the responsibilities, continuing the service.

However, during one of these procedures, one of the “disposables” ends up surviving after being left behind. Presumed dead by his mission colleagues, he manages to return to the ship, but discovers that his successor is already alive, working and not interested in abandoning his post.

In addition to Robert Pattinson, Mickey 17 still has Steven Yeun (Minari: In Search of Happiness), Naomi Ackie (The End of the F***ing World), Tony Collette (Hereditary) and Mark Ruffalo (Poor Creatures) in the cast. Below, check out the first preview of the film:
