Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the season 1 finale of All I’ll Give You. If you haven’t seen the last episode yet, go ahead!
After three weeks of broadcasting, All That I Give You is getting ready to be adored this Wednesday, February 21 on France 2. An opportunity for viewers to lift the veil on the identity of Aymeric’s killer.
After the first episode, the famous Parisian writer Manuel Ortigoza (David Camenos, an actor whose face you really don’t know), joins forces with Richard (Bruno Solo), a retired gendarme, to find out if her husband’s death was really accidental.
And during their investigation, the two friends discover many family secrets surrounding the Fontares estate.
A moving finale
In the final minutes of Episode 6 of All This, viewers will learn that it was Catherine (Louise Mono), wife of Joffrey (Aurelien Vicky), who killed Aymeric, as well as Engeran, so that the family could inherit. Goes with him and doesn’t go with little Arsene (Alexandre Marie-McSweeney).
A year later, Manuel welcomes Richard, Father Lucas Rubio, Elisa and Arsene to his estate to celebrate the latter’s birthday. In a voiceover, the writer explains that the future of the land is now in the hands of the little boy, as Aymeric predicted.
“love wins”
It was this moving finale that convinced Elisa’s interpreter, Philippa Phoenix, to take part in the series. His character actually had to face the racism of a powerful family who had trouble accepting that inheritance and property could pass to a mixed-race child, however legitimate he might be.
“I refuse clichéd roles. As a mixed race woman, I always want to play characters that allow society to uplift their minds“- he explained at the press conference organized as part of the La Rochelle Art Festival last September.
“I loved this story because my son wins in the end. The message we get is that it is love that wins. I thought it was great because it’s 2023 and it feels good.”
For latecomers who want to discover this modern and fascinating family saga, I will give you all this Fully available on the france.tv platform.
