“Director Overpaid Badger”: This is simply the best Marvel theme song ever

Hitting theaters eight years ago (!!), Marvel’s superhero feature Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds, stood out for its crass sense of humor and irreverence. Full of irony and self-deprecation, the work achieved massive public success with a worldwide gross of over $780 million.

“A Movie Made by Idiots”

This Deadpool is a pretty underwhelming movie, but it also has a brilliant theme song. A memorable opening along with the amazing opening of another superhero movie made a few years earlier. Never seen those original opening minutes? So we need to make up for this shortfall quickly!

“A Movie Made by Idiots”, “Made by an overpaid badger”, “Predictable Cameo”… From the very first minutes of Deadpool, the tone is set with extraordinary credits that humorously poke at the bottom of blockbuster cinema.

Irreverent, nonsensical and provocative, like the rest of the film, credits dead pool However, it was not to be. “Okay, so what do we have? A hot girl, a bad boy, a CGI character… and we put it in the credits.” layout artist Frank Balson explained to ComicBook.com.

A generic that almost never existed!

These credits were originally developed only temporarily, and the composition of the film crew (except Ryan Reynolds in the title role) has yet to be decided. Frank Balson’s original intention was to change everything once the actual names were in place, but the film crew eventually decided that the first version was much more awesome and should be kept. It’s hard to resist him!

To recall, Deadpool 2 offered credits in the same direction, this time relating to the plot of the films. We’re now eagerly awaiting the first moments of Deadpool & Wolverine, the third installment in the superhero saga, which hits theaters on July 24.
