From Saturday 10 February, M6 will broadcast new episodes of Season 2 of Blanca, the detective series hosted by Maria Chiara Gianetta and Giuseppe Zeno. But while Italian fiction is very successful in its country of origin, French society seems less susceptible to the charms of Blanca, this highly emotional young blind woman who helps the police.
In this new season, a young woman who has just been promoted to a police consultant must, with the help of her colleagues, track down a bomber who is terrorizing the city by attacking the police. An incredible story that, nevertheless, is adapted from a real story.
M6 accelerates broadcasting
After just two evenings, M6 has made the decision to fast forward the broadcast of Season 2 to this Saturday, February 24th. Although initially two episodes were planned every week, the channel decided to revise its plans and will now offer 4 new episodes every Saturday night.
They will then be followed by rebroadcasts of episodes from the first season. So viewers will have to stay up until 1:20 a.m. if they don’t want to miss Blanca’s adventures. The season 2 finale airs Saturday, March 2 at 9:10 p.m.
Auditorium at half-mast
If the channel has not officially communicated this decision, this last-minute programming change can be explained by Blanca’s disappointed audience. On February 10, the detective series’ launch date, just 1.18 million viewers (6% of those aged four and over and 8.6% of the FRDA-50) tuned in to discover Blanca’s new adventures.
The following week, 1.04 million curious people (6% 4+ / 8.0% FRDA-50) found themselves in front of their TV screens. Scores who therefore decided to suspend M6’s payments and speed up broadcasting.
Find four new episodes of Blanca this Saturday 24th February from 9.10pm on M6. The final four episodes will air simultaneously on March 3.
