At the beginning of February, we revealed that Frank Dubosky was going to make his third feature called Un Ours dans le Jura.

The actor and director (who also stars in the film) is currently filming in Haut-Jura, directed by Laure Callam, Benoit Polvorde, Josephine de Mea and Kim Higuelin.

France 3 Franch-Comte Visited the set of the feature film and met Frank Dubosk who spoke more about the plot of his feature film and his intentions.

Movie at the Coen Brothers Cinema

The filmmaker explains that after the public success of the comedies Everyone Stands in 2018, which gathered 2.4 million viewers, and Rumba la vie, which gathered 290,000 curious people in 2022, in a post-Covid context, he wanted to start a genre. Black comedy, like the works of the Coen brothers.

To be in the genre always with comedy, but a little darker, more in the humor of the Coen brothers, like Fargo… All these movies where we laugh, but at the first level, with characters that are very attached to reality. I didn’t want a funny comedy, but a serious comedy, a serious comedy. “

A bear and a canoe

The director, who is currently starring in Reem Khreich’s The Dog and the Cat, also revealed more about the film’s plot, set in the mountains near the resort of Les Rousses.

Therefore, The Bear in Jurassic takes place in an isolated house in the middle of the Jurassic forest, where live Michelle and Cathy, a couple in their fifties. Their lives are turned upside down the day a bear nearly crashes into their car, killing two other people in the car. The couple discovers a treasure of two million euros in the trunk of the victims and have to deal with the inspector of the region, played by Benoit Poelvorde.

For the purposes of the film, the team adopted a film-trained bear, so there is no CGI in the feature film. There will also be talk of canoeing, as Dubosk shared a video on his Instagram account (seen above) in which we see him paddling.
