A More Beautiful Life: Will Ophel Conquer Her Greatest Fear?

Ophel’s panicked fear

At the beginning of this sequence, Ofel is visibly hot. He walks to the front door of his family home with his stomach bulging. Vanessa (Agathe de La Boulaye), his mother, joins him and asks what he is up to. With a trembling voice, the main person answers that he cannot stay locked up any longer and must go outside.

Vanessa says that she understands him and that daring to come out will undoubtedly do her the greatest good. Ophel begs her not to try to hold him back… Her dear mother continues by saying that no one wants more than her to be able to escape this fear that is paralyzing her.

Will Ophel overcome agoraphobia?

He encourages Ophel, and the latter therefore takes with both hands the courage to open the door. Alas, the street, the noise and the strong light of the day scares him and he runs with tears into the arms of Vanessa… who congratulates him despite everything.

Despite her good will, Ophel still has a long way to go before she overcomes her extreme fear… Morgan Frew, her translator, also revealed to our colleagues: tele-vacation who prepared a lot for his role to better portray this situation.

“(…) I listened to podcasts, testimonies of patients talking about suffering, panic attacks… I also worked on breathing. I really wanted to show the reality and it was important to me that the affected people felt less alone“, the actor confided.

Ophel’s battle has just begun… it will continue in a more beautiful life, even more beautiful.
