Last month at the 39th Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Maestro star and director host Brad Pitt received the Artist of the Year award.
Before that, however, and during a two-hour on-stage discussion organized by the festival, the actor-director looked back on his entire career, which began – and yes, his first credit – with a small role in the hit HBO series. which was then in its second season, Sex and the City in 1999. In episode 4 of the hit show’s second season, Bradley Cooper appears in “Jake’s Downtown” — yes, that’s what he’s credited for! – opposite Sarah Jessica Parker.
He said he was “scared” to play a sports car-driving animal in the second season of the hit series. “I auditioned and at that point I didn’t really think I could ever get the job“, he recalls. “To be honest, I was working as a doorman at Morgans Hotel and then I got an opportunity to audition.“

He continued: “I remember when I was called to do it, I was scared. ‘What do you mean I have to do this?’ I couldn’t shift sticks so they sent me to Models Driving School and I was just scared.“
In the end, his fears were probably justified, as he said he was “still missing out on everything” while driving. “So they asked someone else to drive and I just had to pretend we stopped– he said and imitated someone as if he were driving a car.
