Indeed, the strong character actor will be responsible for the making of a TV movie called A Castle in Spain, which will also be broadcast soon on France 2. As mentioned in the channel’s press release, this fiction will be based on the observation that in France 300,000 people live on the streets, 4,100,000 are homeless and 2.3 million families are waiting for social housing.
Here, Corinne Masiero sets out to highlight the often invisible reality of poor housing, and illustrate the need for collective awareness. Thus, the audience follows the story of Audrey, a woman who befriends Fanny, a mother living on the street with two children.
A TV movie about bad housing in France
Angered by this situation, Audrey takes over her husband’s uninhabited building to house them there. They then unwittingly slip into illegality… The general public will find some famous faces in the cast of this gritty-themed fiction.
The Spanish Castle credits include Romane Boringer (Fan), Aisa Maiga (Audrey), Philippe Duquesne (Pierre-Emmanuel), Miles Valduriez (Lia), Alexis Neisse (Nolan), Antonin Larto (Vincent), Ocean (Frank), Annie-France Paul (Judith), Guy Alocher (Michelle) and Aurore Brutin (Ivana).
The 90-minute TV movie will be directed by Corinne Masiero and written by Ellen Hassoun. Filming (which takes place in and around Dunkirk) began this Monday, March 4, 2024, and will conclude on March 29.
