Paul Mescal on role in All of Us Strangers: “I recognize him in myself”

In an interview given exclusively to Rolling Stone Brazil, Mezcal defined his character in the production as a boy who deserved to be happier than he actually is, and confided that he recognizes parts of himself in Harry:

“He hides behind his positive and free attitude towards sexuality and the fact that he is funny. He has a casual but somewhat problematic relationship with drugs and alcohol. He is arrested. I recognize it in small parts of myself, my friends and many young people around the world.”he declared.

In the conversation, the actor also celebrated the bond created between Harry It is Adam throughout the film: “Seeing them connect is very authentic, real and passionate. They like each other. They are both basically very good people. They both feel very isolated and the film is essentially about finding connection. But I think it goes beyond that, because they find a real connection in a world that seems impersonal, cold.
