Actress spoke about the negative reviews of Sony’s new Spider-Man Universe film and hinted that changes occurred throughout production
Dakota Johnson is not satisfied with the negative reviews Madame Teia, the most recent film in the Spider-Man Universe from Sony Pictures. In an interview, the actress stated that she was not surprised by the failure with critics and the public, but admitted that “it’s not cool to be part of something detonated”.
“It’s so hard to make movies, and in these big movies that get made – and it’s even starting to happen with the little ones, which is what really scares me – the decisions are made by committees, and the art doesn’t do well when it’s done. by committees”pondered the artist in an interview with Bustle.
“Films are made by a filmmaker and a team of artists around him. You can’t make art based on numbers and algorithms. I’ve long felt that audiences are extremely intelligent and executives have come to believe that they’re not. Audiences will always be able to sniff out bullshit. Even if movies start to be made with AI, humans won’t want to see them.”added Johnson.
In the conversation, the actress also celebrated the experience of making Madame Teiabut said he believes he will not do superhero productions again in the future: “It was definitely an experience for me to make this film. I’ve never done anything like it before. I’ll probably never do anything like it again, because I don’t make sense in this world. And I know that now.”he declared.
“But sometimes in this industry, you sign something, and it’s one thing, and as you do it, it becomes a completely different thing, and you’re like, ‘Wait. What?'”continued. “But it was a real learning experience and, of course, it’s not pleasant to be part of something blown up, but I can’t say I don’t understand.”
