The spin-off series The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live premiered in the United States on February 25, 2024 and has already become a hit. Shortly after launch it already reached 1 million viewers on cable TV. To date, it has been AMC’s most-watched television program.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is a post-apocalyptic horror drama series that mixes horror story, drama and science fiction. The plot tells the love story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) in an ever-changing world. The cast also includes actors Pollyanna McIntosh, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn and Matthew August.
Created by Scott M. Gimple, Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln, who also reprise their roles from the original series.
The series follows the return of Rick and Michonne to The Walking Dead universe. The plot reveals what happened to Rick Grimes after the explosion on the bridge in the ninth season of the main series. And it also shows what Michonne has been up to since she left the original series in season 10.
Separated by distance, by unstoppable power, they could come together and find themselves in a situation unlike any they had ever known.
In the United States, new episodes of the spin-off series air on AMC and AMC+ every Sunday at 9pm. There are 6 episodes in total.
The original Walking Dead
The original series is available on Star+ and Netflix. Ending in 2022, after 11 seasons, production began in 2010. Over the course of the series, 177 episodes were broadcast. The universe of the series has several spin-offs and continuations.
