Next Saturday (10th) the 2024 Oscars ceremony will take place which will reward the best productions of the last year. And to measure the public’s favoritism, Google has published the list of terms relating to the most searched event in Brazil.
In Brazil, the most searched Oscar nominated film on Google was Barbie. Furthermore, Margot Robbie, who played the famous doll in cinemas, was one of the most searched names by Brazilians. This even though the actress has not been nominated.
According to Google, Margot Robbie has done four times more searches than Emma Stone (Poor creatures) in Brazil and almost triple in the world. She also beat the other actresses nominated on Google Search: 56 times more searches than Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a fall), 27 against Lily Gladstone (Flower Moon Assassins), 24 more searches than Annette Bening (Nyad) and 23 in relation to Carey Mulligan (Conductor).
Among the candidates for the best actor award in Brazil, the most sought after was the protagonist of RustinColman Domingo, who in addition to being present at the awards show, also had his name linked to rumors of Jonathan Majors’ replacement as Kang in the MCU in recent weeks.
Among directors, Justine Triet was the most sought after, riding the wave of popularity sparked by Anatomy of a fall, which placed third in the search for the night’s top prize, Best Film. The information comes from Omelette.
