Ex-Twitter now allows Premium+ subscribers and verified entities to post articles with up to 100,000 characters
The platform X (formerly Twitter) Thursday (7) made the publication of even longer texts available to subscribers to the service Premium+ – the social network “box” – and verified organizations.
Why is Elon Musk obsessed with the letter “X”?
The new 100,000 character limit far exceeds the 25,000 character limit available to users Award, intermediate subscription among those available. The tool comes with a basic editor, capable of formatting such as bold, italic, underline, and numbered lists.
When a user writes an article, it appears in a new tab on their profile along with replies and media cards. While reading an article, users have the option to view the page in full screen. There is no information on the functionality of the mobile app.
“Today we’re excited to announce Articles, a new way to write and share long-form content with your followers on X. Articles will be easily distinguishable thanks to a unique icon and layout, ensuring your long-form content stands out They are available to Premium+ subscribers and verified organizations,” reads a post on the network.

Even before the management of Elon Musk, then-Twitter was already exploring the possibility of more extensive posts, with the goal of attracting writers and other content creators to the platform. The strategy appears to persist, despite Musk’s tense relationships with journalists on the social network.
