Barcelona suffered, but beat Mallorca 1-0 at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, in a match valid for the 28th round of La Liga. The Catalan club’s goal was scored by Lamine Yamal, in the 28th minute of the second half.
The match was marred by the injury of the Brazilian Raphinha, who left the field in the 37th minute after suffering a touch on his left foot. The player is in doubt for the return match between Barcelona and Napoli, in the Champions League round of 16, scheduled for Tuesday (12).

Although Barcelona controlled possession from the start of the match, Mallorca defended well, with a line of five positioned on the edge of the area. Xavi’s team exchanged passes very slowly and were not very aggressive to really worry the opposing defense.

The goal of the match came only in the second half, thanks to the feet of Lamine Yamal, who cut a defender in the penalty area on the left side and hit him into the corner of the Mallorca goalkeeper, without any possibility of defense.

Barcelona returns to the field on Tuesday (12th), at 5pm (Brasilia time), to face Napoli in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16. In the first match, played in Italy, Barça drew 1-1 and to access the quarter-finals, Xavi’s team must win the match with any score. Defeat eliminates the Spanish club, while a draw takes the venue’s decision to extra time and, if the tie persists, to penalties.
