The streaming platforms FILMICCA and MUBI prepared special programs to celebrate March 8th and women
The releases of FILMICCA in the month of March there are 10 works by female directors, which join more than 180 films directed or co-directed by women available in the platform’s catalogue. Releases include the powerful Born in Flamesfrom the director Lizzie Borden, in restored version; two films by the Filipino director Isabel Sandoval; three works by the Portuguese director Claudia Varejãothe beautiful Wolf and Dogthe documentary Patu!by the Maori director Merata Mita; two short films by the British director Ngozi Onwurah; and the restored version of The Lady of Constantinoplefrom Hungarian Judit Elek.

A FILMICCA is a national and independent streaming of authorial and cult cinema, from classic to contemporary, including new and exclusive releases, with a curation that values films directed by women, LGBTQIA+ stories, black narratives, works by new authors and renowned directors of world cinema .
To celebrate International Women’s Day, the MUBI presents the special Commanding the Scene: Directors of Photography, which highlights the artistic and technical work of women behind the camera. Composed of 13 titles, the collection pays tribute to the female cinematographers who lent their vision to some of the most loved and acclaimed films in the history of cinema. In Agnès Godardpassing through the Chinese Rain Li until Caroline Champetierthe programming celebrates the women who, against all odds, made their mark on the big screen.
