Calmon: Hyundai details the range of products it will import

I already mentioned in the article that the Hyundai Santa Cruz pickup, produced in the United States, will not be imported or produced in Anápolis

After the new Hyundai-Caoa deal, the South Korean manufacturer opened up and revealed its launch schedule. The initial focus will be on those imported by Hyundai itself in close collaboration with the Brazilian group. Supply will be aligned with demand, which did not happen before.

The Ioniq 5 will arrive in the second half of the year, expected due to its good acceptance abroad. It is a medium-sized electric compact car, with larger dimensions (three meter wheelbase) than the Dolphin and with a style praised by the international press.

Another imported model will be the Palisade, an eight-seat SUV, 2+3+3 configuration in 2024. Next year, the Palisade will have a hybrid option. Also in 2024, Hyundai defines what will be the third imported model among the Santa Fe or Kona seven-seater hybrid or electric SUVs.

The manufacturer, however, plans to import as much as possible, depending only on market research, including the entire lineup: the Elantra, Sonata and Azera sedans; and the Tucson SUV.

For 2025, the hybrid Palisade and the long-awaited fourth generation of the Tucson, the brand’s iconic model, will debut. I already said in the article that the Santa Cruz pickup, produced in the United States, will neither be imported nor produced in Anápolis. Negotiations for Hyundai’s use of the Caoa plants in Goiás for new models are still under discussion, with no deadline for conclusion.
