Star Wars: CODA’s Oscar-winning comedian has created the Tuscan language!

Becoming the first male deaf performer to win an Oscar (for his performance in the film CODA, an American remake of the Aries family), Troy Kotsuri became a movie legend last week. Little known to the general public, the 53-year-old actress has previously appeared in only a few movies and TV series, including The Number 23 and episodes of Scrubs and Criminal Minds.

But Troy Kotsuri became famous for his involvement in the Star Wars saga as well. In the first season of the TV series “Mandalorian”, the latter really gave his qualities to one of the Tuscans, this sand man who inhabits the planet Tatooine. But that is not all, as the comedian also participated in the creation of the Tuscan dialect, based mainly on American Sign Language.

His work has also been used in the series The Book of Boba Fett, a review of the hunter’s past on a Tuscan clan bouquet. There is no doubt that Sand Men will also appear in the spin-off Obi-Wan Kenobi, whose action will largely develop on the tattoo.

You can watch the movie CODA now on AppleTV + platform. Both seasons of Mandalorian are fully available on Disney +.
