$6 billion: This iconic fantasy saga could be rebooted with Scarlett Johansson

After Gareth Edwards (creator, Rogue One, Godzilla) arrives to direct the new film in the Jurassic World saga, the famous actor will soon face dinosaurs! According to an insider Jeff SnyderScarlett Johansson has indeed been offered the lead role in the new Jurassic World movie.

Black Widow vs. Dinos?

Will we see Black Widow vs. Dinosaurs? If this information is to be taken with a grain of salt, the arrival of an actor of this caliber could revive fans’ interest in the $6 billion saga.

If Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard were already household names when the first Jurassic World hit theaters in 2015, they didn’t have the fame and career of Scarlett Johansson.

The 39-year-old multi-awarded actor has a 30-year career behind him. Apart from alternative arthouse films and blockbusters, the actress has acquired a solid fan base for Marvel by portraying the superhero Black Widow.

After Kate Shortland’s feature film (released in 2021), in which she passed the torch to Florence Pugh, Scarlett Johansson has joined the cast of Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City. He’ll soon be seen on the poster for Kristin Scott Thomas’ North Star, he’ll be cast in Greg Berlanti’s comedy Project Artemis starting July 10, and he’s got several projects lined up, including Featherwood’s Andrea Arnold and Bride’s Sebastian Lelio.

What will the new Jurassic World be about?

We still don’t know what the story of this new Jurassic World will be, but we already know that David Koepp, who is already working on Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park, is writing the script. Announced in our theaters on July 2, 2025, the feature film is set to shoot this summer.

Therefore, the official casting should be announced soon. We don’t know if the previous Ops cast – Devanda Wise, who played Kayla, the helicopter pilot, or Mamoudu Atti (Ramsey) – will be there.
