Landing and take-off operations were interrupted on the afternoon of Friday the 15th at Congonhas airport in Sao Paulo. Aena, the concessionaire that manages the airport, decided to stop operations after an external electricity failure affected a control tower.
According to the concessionaire, the terminal where passengers wait for flights was not affected. About 70 thousand people pass through the airport every day.
