The Brazilian team must defeat Spain to confirm their place at the Olympics
Brazil beat Bahrain 25-24 this Friday (15th), in a match valid for the 2nd round of the Handball Pre-Olympic in Spain. Rudolph Hackbarth was Brazil’s top scorer in the match with six goals, the same number as opponent Mohamed Ahmed.
With this result, Brazil will have to beat Spain to go to Paris. The match against the Spanish team will take place on Sunday (17th), at 1.45pm (Brasilia time).
HOW WAS THE MATCH?
Bahrain started the match better and managed to make good use of the spaces left in the center of the Brazilian defense. Unlike the match against Slovenia, Brazil explored more sides of the pitch, varying their game more. The Bahrain team comes out of the first half winning 14-11.
After the break, Brazil recovered better, trying to equalize the score. Rudolph Hackbarth, Gustavo Rodrigues and Vinicios Angelo led the reaction of the Brazilian team, who turned the game around in the final seconds and continued to dream of the Olympics.
