Fluminense, Palmeiras, São Paulo, Flamengo, Grêmio, Atlético-MG and Botafogo will compete in the biggest league on the continent
The race for Eternal Glory begins before kick-off. Next Monday (18th), the Libertadores 2024 teams will find out which places they will occupy in the group stage and who their opponents will be. As usual, the teams were divided into four groups, based on the results obtained in the national and continental championships and cups.
Brazil, destination of the last five cups, has seven representatives, the majority in pot 1, meaning they will be seeded in their respective groups. Fluminense, palms, St. Paul, Flamengo, Guild, Atletico-MG AND Botafogo will compete in the biggest championship on the continent.

Draw and rules
The name of each team will be contained inside a ball, which will be placed in the respective urn. Immediately afterwards a ball is drawn at random and the name of the club is revealed. First, all the seeded teams will be drawn and placed at the top of groups B to H, followed by the teams in group 2 and so on.
Teams from the same country cannot be in the same group. For example, if the Rooster’s name, which is in tier 2, is selected when an opponent from the Sao Paulo group is determined, it will be moved to the next available group that follows the same rule.
However, there is an exception. Teams that have progressed through the knockout stages of stages one, two and three of the competition, known as Pre-Libertadores, are not subject to this rule. Botafogo, Palestinian, Colo-Colo AND National they can be placed in any group, which allows for two clashes between Flamengo and Botafogo early on.

When, where and how to watch?
Next Monday, directly from Paraguay and will be broadcast on ESPN, Star+ and Paramount+, starting at 7:45 p.m. Brasilia). The ball will start rolling on April 3.
