Conmebol begins to trace the fate of Cruzeiro, Corinthians and Internacional. Find out more details about the competition draw
This Monday (18/3), at 8pm (Brasilia time), in the Conmebol headquarters, not only the Libertadores-2024 groups will be announced, but also the Sul-Americana one. The draw will take place in Luque, Paraguay. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four, each of which will have one team from each of the four pots, with positioning defined by the entity’s standings.
The best in each group automatically enter the round of 16 of this edition of the Copa Sudamericano.
The second teams of each group face the teams that finish in third place, in the group stage of the Libertadores, in a preliminary phase of the Sula, i.e. before the round of 16. Conmebol will draw these matches and the knockout phase of the competition.
The final will be played on November 23, a week before the Libertadores decision. Conmebol, however, has not yet announced the location of the match.
