With Brazilian direction and cast, Wishes SA debuts on Star+ on March 27, telling the story of a company that grants all its customers’ wishes.
A new Brazilian mystery and suspense series is coming to remind us to be very careful what we wish for. Titled Wish SAon March 27, the six episodes of the production arrive on Star+, which tell the story of a company that fulfills all the wishes of its customers under the mantra “What you want, when you want”.
But since not everything in life is easy, those who resort to the services of this company have to pay a sum of money and also accept a non-negotiable condition: to participate in another customer’s order when requested. If you do not accept this part of the agreement, the person will suffer serious consequences.
But since not all orders go as the customer imagined, a web of confusion begins, in which the protagonists will have to participate in some activities that deviate from what they consider correct. Therefore, they begin to see the impact of this “wish chain” on the lives of other participants as they try to find a way to free themselves from this apparent curse.
The premise is very reminiscent of other classic stories that work on this idea of the weight and risks of our desires and ambitions. The classic tale Box, by Richard Matheson, is a beautiful example. The story, already adapted several times for the screen, features a couple who receive a mysterious box with a button that, if pressed, will guarantee them a good sum of money; in exchange, someone unknown will die.
With Carol Castro, Silvero Pereira, Marcos Pasquim, Daniel Rocha, Pâmela Tomé, Alejandro Claveaux, Rocco Pitanga and even singer and composer Diogo Nogueira as Yaco, a celebrity who becomes part of a fan’s request, Wish SA promises to bring hints of comedy and action to the mystery plot.

It was created by Argentine directors Gastón Duprat and Mariano Cohn and was based on the book by Horácio Convertini. The general management is the Brazilians José Alvarenga Jr. (who signs The normal ones AND Diva) and Mariana Youssef (from Lov3).
