The series The Acolyte, from the Star Wars universe, has a premiere date on Disney+. The production arrives in the catalog of the streaming platform on June 4th, as announced by in February. An investigation into a shocking crime wave pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Stenberg). As new clues emerge, the boys travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal that all is not as it seems.
It is known that the series is set during the High Republic era in the Star Wars universe timeline. In other words, its plot is set before all the films in the saga released to date.
Leslye Headland created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef also serve as executive producers, with Charmaine DeGraté and Kor Adana co-executive producers. Rayne Roberts and Damian Anderson are the producers of the series.
