Global release of the Moto X50 Ultra, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro has won a series of teasers confirming aspects such as processing, screen and camera features
After the first teaser in China comes from leaked images of the design and release date global, the Motorola confirmed this Monday (18) that the Motorola Edge 50 Pro — known in the Chinese market as the Moto X50 Ultra — will soon be launched as one of the first smartphones equipped with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, also revealed this Monday. The phone has also received a dedicated page revealing aspects such as the screen, design and some camera features, which rely heavily on the use of artificial intelligence.

On its account on the Chinese Weibo network, Motorola announced that the Moto X50 Ultra will be one of the first devices to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. New processor Qualcomm, the chip combines the technologies of the 8 Gen 2 and 8 Gen 3 into a more affordable package, seeking to “democratize” generative artificial intelligence using low-priced premium mobile phones. The publications on the X50 Ultra, in fact, underline the presence of a “banquet” of Artificial Intelligence, which will be present in many of the new features.
We can better understand the company’s proposal with the dedicated page open on the Indian retailer Flipkart, where the launch already bears the global name Edge 50 Pro. Right from the start, the portal shows the complete design of the device, which follows what the leaks of news had suggested: we have some improvements about the look of the Edge 40 Prowith a larger camera module taking up the entire top left corner of the back.

The screen has curved edges, as expected from an Edge model, and at least three color options will be offered: black with a fabric finish that imitates leather, purple with the same type of fabric, and white with irregular, seemingly glass stripes. . . All were selected as part of the brand’s partnership with Pantone, a company considered a global reference in the selection and calibration of colors for various purposes. With that in mind, we’ll likely see new shades offered in the future, as happened with the Edge 40 series.
Motorola seems to have finally expanded the collaboration by applying Pantone’s knowledge to elements other than design, placing emphasis on two of them: the cameras and the screen. Both would be the first in the world to be certified by the Color Society, promising to deliver photos, videos and content consumption with “accurate tones and true skin coloring.”
According to the information, the Edge 50 Pro would feature a 50 MP main camera and a 6.7-inch screen, with 1.5K resolution, 144 Hz, 100% refresh rate DCI-P3 color gamut coverageHDR support in the HDR10+ standard, maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, integrated optical fingerprint reader and lower emission of blue light, which is harmful to the eyes.

AI-based camera features are also mentioned, which would include adaptive stabilization, autofocus with moving object tracking, image enhancement and “tilt mode”, the function of which is unclear, but could be related to portrait mode.
The teasers don’t mention a specific release date, but considering the leaks were correct, we can expect the full announcement to happen worldwide on April 3. Even if the giant hasn’t talked about it so far, we should see the launch brought to Brazil soon, given that the novelty has just been certified by Anatel.
