Ministry of Agriculture achieves 100 new market openings in 49 countries by 2023


The flow rate is double that recorded in the first 15 months of the previous administration

Brazilian agriculture has reached a new historic milestone by opening 100 new markets for domestic agricultural products since January 2023, the start of the president’s third term Lula. In total, there are 49 countries for which Brazil they will be able to export agricultural and livestock products.




The two new markets that allowed the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) to reach this goal were opened this Tuesday (19th) at Egypt for the export of goat and sheep meat, meat products and offal.

For the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, Carlos Favarothe openings, the result of Brazil’s relevance and recovery at a global level, strengthen the recognition of international players in the country’s health control system and reflect positively on the Brazilian economy. “We have resumed commercial partnerships abroad and increased the prospects for Brazilian agriculture. It is the possibility for the producer to access opportunities never seen before. This generates demand, the producer needs to increase his activity and the result is more jobs and income across the country”He explained. “The scenario is full of new opportunities and we will work to grow further”added Favaro.
