Number 1 in France and many countries, the romantic comedy Irish Wish, led by Lindsay Lohan, finds its audience. However, the audience reviews have not been kind to the film. On AlloCiné, the feature film averages 2.2 out of 5.
Irish Desire, worthy of an afternoon TV movie, follows Maddie (Lindsay Lohan), an editor who is secretly in love with a successful writer. Unluckily, the author falls in love with another woman and asks Maddy to be her best man at her wedding in Ireland.
A desperate, rejected woman sets out to make a wish: to exchange her bride for an affair with a writer, but before things go as planned, Maddy meets an attractive photographer.
Some familiar faces appear in the film, it’s time to refresh your memory:
Ed Splers
The actor, who plays James, a photographer, appeared in 2006’s Eragon, a heroic fantasy film that was supposed to start a whole new Harry Potter-style saga. Unfortunately, the blockbuster was a failure and did not see a sequel. Only later did Ed Splers stand out in series such as Downton Abbey, You, Star Trek: Picard or Outlander, in which he played the role of Stephen Bonet.
Alexander Vlahos

The insufferable Paul Kennedy appeared mainly in soap operas before starring in Irish Desire. Actor Alexander Vlahos also participates in the series Outlander where he plays Alan Christie in eight episodes. He also starred in another historical series, Versailles, as Monsieur Philippe d’Orléans. A few years earlier, in 2012, he played the druid Mordrid in the TV series Merlin.
Jane Seymour

Along with Lindsay Lohan, she is the most famous actress of Irish Wish. In the role of the heroine’s mother, we find the iconic Jane Seymour, who is world famous for the character of Dr. Quinn from 1993 to 1998. and Let Die, released in 1973.
Irish Wish is available on Netflix.
