Marvel: Captain America vs. Black Panther in Impressive Rise of Hydra Trailer

A big name in video games, screenwriter Amy Hennig, known among other things for writing the Uncharted saga at the Naughty Dog studio or creating the cult franchise Legacy of Kain, was hired in 2019 by the structure manufacturing company. Skydance Media, and is responsible for video game development.

In addition to working on a Star Wars game, he introduced a Marvel game in September 2022 at Disney’s D23. The game, then untitled and without a date, was announced as a crossover between Captain America and Black Panther.

Set in 2025, the game features Captain America and Black Panther Azzurri, who is none other than T’Challa’s grandfather. But not only that, because we will be talking about controlling a total of four characters: Gabriel Jones, one of the members of the Howling Commandos, as well as Nanali, the queen of Wakanda during the Second World War.

Developed using the powerful Unreal Engine 5 game engine, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra also uses the very impressive facial animation technology, MetaHuman Animator, which allows for ultra-realistic animations. The same was used by the Ninja Theory studio to create facial animations for its upcoming game Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga.
