After bringing Batman to life in the 2023 film ‘The Flash’, Michael Keaton is ready for Beetlejuice, another iconic character of his career, which he played 36 years ago.
It was Entertainment Weekly magazine that had the first look at “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice,” the official title of the sequel, in which Keaton teams up again with Catherine O’Hara and Winona Ryder.
The film “Beetlejuice 2” begins with the death of a character, at least this is what Tim Burton told the specialized portal, who preferred not to give more details.
The director shared that it was a strange experience to see Michael Keaton in the character again, even though he was not very interested in joining the project.
The film will be released in theaters almost 4 decades after its release due to the story, since the director wanted to present a film that did not change the essence of the characters, plus it only made sense if it had “an emotional hook”.
Although plot details remain under wraps, thanks to the official images we know that the story will revolve around Lydia (Winona Ryder) with her mother Delian (Catherine O’Hara) and her daughter Astrid (Jenna Ortega), Also, Justin Theroux’s character is named Rory.
This is Jenna Ortega’s second time working with Tim Burton, after the director was responsible for “Merlina,” the Addams Family spin-off that was a hit on Netflix.
