With Paulo Miklos as the singer and composer, the film tells the story of a São Paulo that no longer exists, recorded in Adoniran’s songs
One of the biggest names in Brazilian music, Adorinan Barbosa is revived in cinemas, in the shoes of Paulo Miklos (The Cordial Man, September mornings), starting this Thursday (21), with the premiere of Saudosa Malocabased on the work of the singer and composer.
Based on one of the artist’s main hits, the film shows Adorinan Barbosain his final years of life, reliving the stories he lived with his friends, Mato Grosso (GeroCamilo, Mussum: The Filmis) It is Joca (Gustavo Machado, Most beautiful thing), for a São Paulo that no longer exists, swallowed by the voracious appetite of the ‘pogress’, as the singer would say.
Saudosa Maloca is directed by Pedro Soffer Serranowho has already directed two works on Adoniran Barbosa: the short Gives License to Count from 2015, which gave rise to the feature film released now, and the documentary Adoniran: My name is João Rubinato2018.
